After watching his charges battle to a 19-all draw against hosts Kenya on Saturday,Hong Kong head coach Leigh Jones is a pleased man.
In Saturday’s match,Jones’ charges were on their way to claiming a shock victory were it not for Kenya Harlequins player Dennis Muhanji who touched down before fly half Kenny Andola converted to tie the scores.
Speaking after the game, Jones said, ” We would have taken the result had you offered it before the game…so we are reasonably pleased.
-The first half saw an outstanding performance from Hong Kong we created a lot of chances…perhaps should have taken a few more ..but who knows…I think a draw is a fair result.”
The two sides are set to renew their rivalry yet again on Saturday August 26,2017 at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi.
