The mood in the Kenya Simbas camp is bullish ahead of Saturday’s clash away to Namibia at the Hage Geinghob stadium in Windhoek.
Speaking to Kenya Rugby after the team’s first training session in Windhoek, forwards coach Dominique Habimana said that the mood in camp is positive and they are well aware of the fact that Namibia are the clear favourites going into the match.
“We arrived safe and sound from Zimbabwe, and have just had our first pitch session today (Tuesday)…that’s going on well. The mood in the camp is positive..upbeat,”he said.
“We are well aware that Namibia are the clear favorites for this competition but we are working hard to put up a good show,” he added.
Kenya Simbas lie in 2nd position on the Africa Gold Cup standings 3 points shy off log leaders Namibia but a win in Windhoek will certainly ensure that they are crowned African Champions.
