Zimbabwe Sables captain Denford Mutamangira lamented poor tackling by his players as he saw his side fall to Kenya Simbas at the Hartsfield grounds in Bulawayo last evening.
Speaking to the media after the clash, the skipper said that they had themselves to blame for letting the Kenya Simbas score easy tries. He also added that the quick tries in the final quarter of the match by Martin Owila and Wilson Kopondo dealt them a huge blow.
“We let them score easy tries since we did not tackle properly. Our first time tackling really let us down,”he said.”We had the energy but the quick tries they scored killed our morale,”he lamented.
On their next match against Uganda, the captain said that they will have no other option but to claim victory in Kampala against a wounded Cranes side that is also hungry for a win.
“Next match is a must win because we cannot afford to be blowing hot and cold,”he concluded.
