Impala duo ready for Uganda test

Kenya Simbas duo of Dennis Karani and James Kubasu who also feature for Kenya Cup side Impala Saracens have exuded optimism ahead of the Africa Gold Cup clash against neighbours Uganda Cranes later today.
Despite being part of the travelling contingent to Kampala,Kubasu never had a chance to step foot at the Legends Rugby grounds for the entire 80 minutes.Having been named on the bench once again for the second leg clash, the 23 year old will be hoping that he will finally earn an international cap.
“I have learnt a lot. The detail that goes into preparations before matches, the team norms are on a whole different level. The fact that I have once more been called to start off the bench on this specific fixture is a sign enough for me to keep knocking the door,”Kubasu told Impala Saracens.
For Dennis Karani,he believes that he has everything to bring to the RFUEA grounds having started the last two matches.Karani is once again set to start at prop against Uganda Cranes.Karani was quoted as saying that they struggled to claim victory in Kampala two weeks ago due to lapses in concentration.
“We started off really well but between the 20th and 40th minute lost the punch to effectiveness in Crane 22. We however came back to win 23-18 after switching on the effectiveness button. We have been improving ever since the 29-30 loss to Germany and I believe we’ll win against the Cranes,”said Karani.
The match is set to kickoff at 1600hrs EAT and it will also serve as the second leg of the Elgon Cup.
