Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad and UON started off their quest to be crowned Champions of the ongoing third leg of the Kings of Rugby 7s on a high note,winning all their pool matches on Saturday 17th June 2017 at the Kaimosi University grounds.
Blad started off their pool matches with a 41-0 mauling of Africa Nazarene University,before seeing off Zetech 33-0 in their second match,ensuring that they made it to the main cup quarter finals without conceding any points.
On the other hand,UON brushed aside MMU 31-0 before sealing their place in the last eight with a narrow 10-7 win against UOE.In other matches of the day,hosts Kaimosi University started off on a wrong footing after being humiliated 45-0 by neighbours MMUST as USIU beat Moi University 24-0 and wound up their pool stage campaign with a 36-0 drubbing of Murang’a.
