Impala Saracens new head coach, Frank Ndong is pleased with his team’s brilliant performance against Harlequins in the Ngong road derby played on Saturday.
His team beat Quins 25-15 to secure a chance in the semis of the Enterprise Cup despite lacking the services of his five key players who are out in South for the Kenya 15s camp.
The coach is happy that the players who came in to fill the gaps did well even though there was a little lapse in concentration that saw the side allow Quins to pull back two tries.
“Right now I am over the moon with this win . However, we didn’t kill their play like we would have wanted to.We missed a couple of line outs.Lapsed in concentration in the second half and allowed them back into the game. Majority of our tight five player are in South Africa for the Kenya 15s camp.I am happy the boys put this behind them and focused on winning. One player in particular, Meshack Tunechi rose to the occasion,” he told Impala official portal.
Impala will face Kabras in the Enterprise semis that will be played in Kakamega this weekend.
