Kenya 7s coach speaks on Injera omission and why Mukidza is perfect replacement

Kenya 7s head coach Innocent Simiyu believes that Darwin Mukidza is the best replacement for injured Collins Injera.
Mukidza’s exploits in the fullback positions saw his side KCB win the Kenya Cup time beating Kabras in the final and Simuyu feels that his prowess in attack will be vital for his team in England and France
He confirmed that Injera has a partial tear on the PCR and the team’s medical team are working to ensure he recovers as soon as possible.

“We made one change replacing Injera who is injured he has a partial tear on his PCR. The doctors are looking at the best way to manage the injury. We have brought in Darwin Mukidza who is good in attack and open play and good on high balls and his physicality is good. He had a good season, helped KCB to win Kenya Cup and was outstanding in the final so we are looking forward to build on that,”he said.
Mukidza returns to the squad for the first time since his debut in Dubai and Cape Town legs
