Kenya Cup 2016/17 finalists Kabras Rugby beat Uganda Cranes 16-5 in a friendly match played at Kakamega Showground on Wednesday evening.
Uganda assistant boss Robert Sseguya decided to field a fringe side in the match in order to give each travelling player a chance to play and their opponents Kabras did same and rested more regulars.
Kabras scored two penalties and two tries while their visitors managed just one try in the whole 80
Ugandan scored first through Solomon Okia while Kabras replied through Nakarawa who added another try in the final minutes of the game but his fly half Jone Kubu missed all the two conversions.
In the second half Anthony Ogot side scored a penalty through Ivan Chirabo and extended the lead by a eight point gap.
Chirabo added another penalty and ensured a 16-5 lead by the final whistle.
The two sides will once again face off on Saturday at the same venue.
